			<description><![CDATA[<p>There's been talk of a late Spring this year.&nbsp; The tree fruit growers like a late Spring, since there is less of a chance for a late frost to kill the flowers (no flowers=no fruit).&nbsp; A harsh winter may affect insect and disease pressure for the Spring, but I don't know ... Somehow I think that the insects and disease organisms are so very hardy that they survive even the coldest of winters.&nbsp; We'll just have to wait and see.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>We're trying stem dye this year for St. Paddy's Day.&nbsp; We have, in the past, bought in our green carnations already stem dyed but this year, at the suggestion of our flower salesperson Linda, we've been dyeing our own.&nbsp; The first "experiment" involved 1/2 hour vs. 1 full hour in the same concentration of dye, 1t./qt.&nbsp; The 1/2 hour treatment was definitely enough.&nbsp; We'll post a pic soon.</p>]]></description>
