We've been sending out a fair number of dish gardens and plant baskets lately.  It's a tough time of year for green plants - cold drafts, low light (although that's improving with longer days and the sun's position), and over-watering.  Keep them warm, out of drafts, go light on the watering and wait for Spring.  Dish gardens can be a challenge since they usually have no drainage and the plants are crowded.  Don't expect them to last forever, and throw them out when they get rangey.  Ir you're really into it, transplant a few of your favorites into larger pots with drainage.
